Having graduated with a Bachelor of Arts for Film Production in 2016, with an emphasis in Directing and Set Design, I soon after brought these skills onboard movie sets with roles ranging from Production Designer to Property Master. For all sets, the goal is to create an ambiance that not only pleases the average audience's eye, but also aligns with a distinct aesthetic. In a film art department, we are forced to work closely with all writers, directors, and actors, ensuring a balance for things such as color scheme, continuity, and crew safety.
With each passing scene comes an opportunity to not only play, but the need to do so in a timely and efficient manner. And that is the magic of moviemaking.
