After spending nearly a decade designing all sorts of locales for film only to tear them down soon after, it seemed a natural fit to help real people find and execute a vision they might only have dreamt of having. This time, though, it would stay forever.
I naturally gravitate towards blending old with the new. Finding an extravagant Greco-Roman, Art Deco mirror and pairing it with a touch of whimsy by means of cat figurines and faux plants. Taking a Xing Dynasty cabinet and making it not only functional, but also a display piece.
By utilizing sketches and 3D design means to aid in the process, exchanging "fictional" characters for actual clients was a seamless transition, with the goal always the same: to give others a place to call home.
